Yain VieyraShift Render Slot is an add-on that streamlines the rendering process by automatically managing render slots. It is particularly useful for users who perform multiple renders in a single session, ensuring that new renders do not overwrite the previous ones.
Key Features:
- Toggle Shifting Behavior: Users can enable or disable the shifting behavior directly within the UV/Image Editor, eliminating the need to adjust settings in the User Preferences.
- Render Event Triggers: Offers the ability to select up to four types of render events to trigger the slot shift:
- Before: Shifts the slot before the render job begins.
- After: Shifts the slot after the render job ends.
- Complete: Shifts the slot when the render is complete.
- Cancelled: Shifts the slot when the render is cancelled.
- Shifting Behaviors: Provides two shifting behaviors for flexibility:
- Increase: Shifts to the next render slot.
- Decrease: Shifts to the previous render slot.
- Shortcuts for Slot Shifting: Includes intuitive shortcuts for easy shifting within the UV/Image Editor:
- Next Slot: Alt + Up Arrow / Ctrl + Wheel Up

- Slot Management: In Blender 2.79, eight built-in slots are available by default. Blender 2.8x and later versions allow for the addition of more slots, offering an unlimited amount, with automatic cycling from the last slot back to the first.
