Quick Metal Materials
Quick Metal Materials is a free Blender add-on which gives you 19 metal and four “extra” materials for use in your scenes.
This add-on began as a way to give me quick access to my favorite shaders without having to append them from an external file. Use them as-is, or remix them for your own purposes.
They are all based on techniques that I learned from various tutorials, so I hope new Blenderers find them useful for reference and study.

Download, installation and usage of Quick Metal Materials
You can download Quick Metal Materials from:
Installation is as usual. Download the .zip file, and in Blender, go to Edit > Preferences > Add-ons and click the Install… button. Navigate to the .zip file you just downloaded, and press Install Add-on. Click the check box to enable the add-on, save your preferences, and you will find a new tab labeled QMM in the N-Panel in the 3D viewport.
Usage is very simple. Select an object in your view, and click a button to assign that material to it.
In the N-Panel > QMM, you see the sections Noble Metals, Base Metals & Alloys, and Extras. Clicking on a button will assign or replace the material on the selected object.
When you select another object and assign it the same material, that material will then have two users. This means that if you change the material in the Shader Editor or Properties Panel, you change the material for both objects.
If you want unique materials for both objects, click on the 2 next to the material name in in the Shader Editor or Properties Panel > Material Properties and a duplicate copy of the material will be created.
Version updates can be installed from within Blender (Preferences > Add-ons) using the Addon Updater system. (Thanks to CG Cookie!)
