Procedural HDR Lighting

Procedural HDR Lighting

Procedural HDR Lighting is a Blender add-on that simplifies the process of lighting scenes without the need for traditional lights. It offers customizable sky and studio setups, allowing for instant lighting results with a few adjustable parameters.

Key features:

  • HDR Environment Lighting: Provides a procedural HDR environment that emits light similarly to an HDR image, with the added benefit of customizable light mood and colors.
  • Sky Settings:
    • Saturation Control: Adjusts the environment color saturation without affecting object shading.
    • Override: Replaces the background visibility with a flat color without changing the lighting.
    • Sun Controls: Adjust sun orientation with Sun Spin, sky position with Sun Bend, and customize sun color and lighting power.
    • Customizable Sky Gradient: Tailor the sky gradient for different lighting effects.
    • Floor Level Adjustment: Shifts colors up or down to create unique lighting variations.
    • Cloud Controls: Adjust cloud transparency, density, and motion for varied reflection effects.
  • Studio Settings:
    • Master Power Control: Adjusts the overall lighting power for the studio setup.
    • Floor Mask (Eevee Only): Blocks impossible lighting from under the floor in Eevee.
    • Light Panel Controls: Customize the power, color, and orientation of two light panels, and adjust ceiling and floor emission for subtle reflections.
  • Baking to HDR: Easily bake your lighting setup to an HDR image at various resolutions (1K to 16K). The baked HDR can be imported for environment mapping with matching results.
