KK Blender Porter Pack

KK Blender Porter Pack is an add-on designed for exporting and setting up Koikatsu characters in Blender.

Key features:

  • Character Export from Koikatsu: Export the character’s mesh, armature, and color data.
  • FBX File Saving: Once characters are set up in Blender, they can be saved as FBX files for use in other programs.
  • Face Shapekeys: Shapekeys from Koikatsu are preserved when importing, with partial shapekeys combined into single shapekeys for convenience.
  • Tear and Gag Eye Shapekeys: These are separated from the body and automatically linked to the body’s shapekeys through drivers.
  • Body Seams: A “merge by distance” operation is performed on the body to remove visible seams, with an option to disable this feature.
  • Object Organization: Provides a default organization for objects after importing, with some variations depending on the enabled options in the Koikatsu KKBP Exporter panel.
  • Armature Layers: The KKBP armature hides some bone layers to reduce clutter, with a panel in the Data tab to manage these layers.
  • Joint Corrections: Utilizes helper bones for better mesh deformation, with bone constraints and drivers for joint corrections.
  • KKBP Armature Features: Includes eye controller bone, hand and leg IKs, a heel IK, and a center bone for moving all bones at once.
  • Rigify Armature Features: Offers additional features like IK to FK sliders, limb stretches, tweak bones, finger IKs, and head look targets.
  • KKBP Material Setup: Provides a template for material setup, including light and dark versions of materials, rim effects, and color saturation conversion to match Koikatsu visuals.
  • Special Materials: Includes unique setups for outlines, eyes, hair, tears, and gag eyes, with options for customization and linking to body shapekeys.
  • Cycles and Lightning Boy Shader Support: Offers basic support for Cycles rendering and Lightning Boy Shader, with adjustments for rim node groups and ambient occlusion.
  • Normal Blending and Quality Settings: Allows for different normal blending methods and quality settings to optimize animation playback performance.
  • Toon Shading Settings: Includes color ramps in the Raw Shading group for adjusting toon shading effects.
  • Per-Character Light Linking Settings: Enables linking specific lights to characters.
