Bsurfaces addon
The Bsurfaces addon, build in Blender 2.8, creates mesh from annotation strokes. You can project these strokes on a surface. Or you can place stroke relatively to the 3D cursor or view. Meaning that you can use the Bsurfaces addon create meshes or use it for retopology. In this post I show you how you can use it for organic modeling. Here are video which makes it easier to explain the workflow.
There is not much more to add at the moment because it looks like the addon is still in development for Blender 2.80. Though, a workflow will be added later on how to use the Bsurfaces for retopology. In case you have idea’s or suggestions, let us know in the comments.

hi, i tried to search it in blender 2.8, but nothing come out when i typed in the name, why? do i need to update anything?
On top of my head, there are three buttons in preferences: Official, community and test. try them all. Otherwise get the latest build. Send from phone.
searched all tabs, official, community and testing. No Bsurfaces addon. Fully updated.
It’s a mystery it seems. Just a few suggestions here:
– Filter add-ons (dropdown next to search bar) on Mesh. And leave Search-field empty.
Then look for: Mesh: Bsurfaces GPL Edition. It’s in alphabetical order. It shows up now?
– In the 3d Viewport’s menubar, Window > Toggle System console, is there an error message that could be related?
– In the Blender “installation” folder, under 2.80\scripts\addons, do you find mesh_bsurfaces.py?
– You can load factory settings (temporary, don’t save, turn Auto Save Preferences always off,) same issue?
hi, I cannot edit cross and follow after creation of a bsurface (the panel shows only when I create it). I this a bug or is this normal behavior? (tried on 2 versions of blender including 2.8, sorry I’am not a blender prov)
